Watch a new video of Kara Walker and jazz musician Jason Moran discussing The Katastwóf Karavan (2017) and other works by Walker, currently on view at Glenstone Museum. The Karavan is a large-scale musical sculpture containing a fully functional steam calliope, which was activated this summer in a series of live performances by Jason Moran. Walker’s work will be exhibited indoors at Glenstone until September 10; the Karavan will be on view and activated in performances each Saturday at 2 PM until October 1.
